About this policy

This policy describes information used by the Goldline RP website. Goldline is a GTA V roleplay community on FiveM. External platforms, including Discord, FiveM and payment providers, have their own privacy policies.

Website visits and technical information

Your browser sends technical information such as your IP address, requested URL and browser headers when it connects to the website. The website uses connection information to deliver pages and resources.

Why we use personal information

We rely on your consent for optional analytics, chat and translation features. For essential website delivery, maintaining the game world, displaying community gameplay information and responding to support requests, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating Goldline. We also rely on legitimate interests to protect the community and enforce bans, balanced against your privacy rights. We process information to meet legal obligations where those obligations apply.

Analytics and cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand website usage. Event data is retained for two months and user data for 14 months, renewed by new activity. Aggregated reports are separate. You can withdraw consent through Privacy settings. Google's privacy information.

Embedded services and external resources

The site loads Google Fonts and resources from external content-delivery services for its appearance and functionality. Google Translate and WidgetBot Discord chat load only after you enable chat and translation in Privacy settings. Loading these resources sends connection information to their providers; embedded services may use cookies or similar storage. Interacting with community chat is also subject to the relevant platform's policies. See Google's privacy policy and Discord's privacy policy.

Public gameplay information

Some pages display information from the game, including character names, citizen profiles, jobs, gameplay statistics, race results and city activity. This content is publicly accessible and may be indexed by search engines. Information you put into public roleplay content can therefore be visible beyond the game.

Support and payments

Support links take you to external payment or storefront services. Information entered on those services is handled under their privacy policies. If you contact the team through Discord, the information you share is also handled through Discord. Avoid posting private account or payment information in public channels.

Your choices and privacy requests

Use Privacy settings in the footer to accept, reject or withdraw consent for optional services. Your choice is stored in your browser for up to six months. Withdrawing consent reloads the page to stop enabled services and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies. Third-party cookies may need to be removed through your browser. You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser and use browser controls to restrict third-party resources. Some embedded features may not work when blocked. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These controls do not remove information already collected.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction of its use, or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We respond without undue delay, normally within one month. If a request requires an extension permitted by law, we will explain why within that first month. You may lodge a complaint with your competent data protection authority.

How staff handle requests

Goldline staff handle privacy requests sent to goldlinerpnetwork@gmail.com. To confirm account ownership, staff may compare relevant game account details and available IP information. An IP address alone is not treated as proof of ownership. Please do not send passwords or authentication codes.

Staff review requests to access, correct or delete information held by Goldline, including game records, website profiles and support messages. When a valid deletion request is fulfilled, staff remove the relevant information from Goldline-controlled systems, including any backup copies. Necessary ban records are handled as explained below. Requests concerning information held independently by another platform may also need to be directed to that provider.

Support-request retention

We retain support messages and privacy-request records only until the request is fulfilled, normally within one month. Once fulfilled, these records are deleted from systems under Goldline's control.

Game data retention

We retain game data to maintain characters, progress and the ongoing game world for as long as the Goldline server remains in operation, unless the relevant data is removed during a server wipe or following a valid deletion request. Ban records may be retained separately as explained below.

Ban records

Information needed to enforce a ban and prevent ban evasion may be retained after other account information is deleted. For a permanent ban, this may involve long-term retention while enforcement remains necessary. Retention must remain limited to relevant information and subject to review of its continued necessity; a permanent ban does not justify keeping every account record forever.

Hosting and security contacts

Our hosting provider supplies the infrastructure used to run the website. Authorised staff manage our hosting and analytics accounts.

Staff also handle reports of suspected data leaks or unauthorized access. Report a concern to goldlinerpnetwork@gmail.com rather than posting private information publicly.

International processing

Our hosting in Canada involves processing outside the European Economic Area. Transfers to Canadian commercial organisations covered by the EU's adequacy decision benefit from that decision. Our hosting provider also publishes contractual safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers within its group. See the hosting provider's transfer information.

External services may process information in other countries under their applicable data-protection terms. Contact goldlinerpnetwork@gmail.com for information about relevant safeguards.
