GYM AND STAMINA

Stamina is a trained character stat. Higher stamina restores more of your running energy each second. It also unlocks parkour at 80%. Eating and sleeping take care of different needs; gym exercises are the repeatable way to train this stat.

The gym membership costs $300, paid from cash first or your bank balance if you cannot cover it in cash. Keep the membership item in your inventory during exercises.

Each exercise takes 30 seconds and is followed by a mandatory 60-second rest. Wait for the notification that you can exercise again. Exercises give a random stamina increase; none guarantees a faster result every time.

ExerciseStamina gained per completed set
Arms / weights1–4 percentage points
Pull-ups1.2–3.8 points
Push-ups1.5–3.5 points
Yoga0.5–4.5 points
Sit-ups0.9–4.1 points

Stamina slowly declines while playing, even outside exercise: about 0.72 percentage points per hour. Respawning after death removes 20 percentage points, so dying can take you below the parkour requirement. Keep training if you want to retain access.

  1. Visit a gym exercise area, such as the outdoor gym at Vespucci Beach.
  2. At the gym menu marker, press E and buy a membership.
  3. Stand close to a weights, pull-ups, push-ups, yoga or sit-ups marker and press E.
  4. Finish the set, rest for a minute, then choose another exercise.

PARKOUR: UNLOCKS AND CONTROLS

Reach at least 80% trained stamina to unlock the parkour moves below. The unlock is checked every 10 seconds, so give it a moment after training. You must be on foot and not ragdolling. FPS mode disables the parkour loop; turn that mode off if your stamina is high enough but the moves do not respond.

Hold Left Shift and press the move key. These are the default keyboard bindings; remapped GTA controls can differ. Start on flat, open ground and allow each animation to finish before trying another move. The dives and jumps move your character with force, so leave room to land.

The requirement is your saved stamina stat, not the momentary sprint-energy meter. Falling below 80% removes access at the next check. Parkour does not make you immune to fall damage or injuries.

BOXING TRAINING AND ORGANIZED MATCHES

Use the MMA job menu to change into boxing gear before training or joining a professional match. The training interactions refuse ordinary clothing. Complete the exercise for its training result, or use /stoptraining to cancel.

Authorized organizers can hire, dismiss, promote or demote fighters and open Event Actions to set up a bout. Choose two fighters and enter the prize. An existing event must finish before another is created.

Fighters receive the Fight signal and round announcements. Return to your position between rounds and wait for the result after the final round. The outcome can be a win, loss or draw; the event announcement also lets spectators know who is fighting and the prize.

FIGHT CLUB

At a supported fight ring, use E at Set bets to choose one of the permitted stakes. Each fighter joins through the E interaction at their side of the ring.

Wait for the countdown before fighting. The ring tracks the bout and its result; you need enough money for the selected stake. This staked fight system is separate from the professionally organized MMA job events.

TENNIS

Bring an opponent to a supported tennis court. Each player stands at a serving-position marker on their side and presses E to claim it. An active court cannot start another match.

Move with the court controls. For a serve, A / D adjusts your position, left mouse begins the service motion, and another left click sets the power when the meter becomes active. Follow the on-screen serve indication and score as the players alternate.

Escape stops playing. The court handles points, games, service turns and faults; stay in the match while your opponent prepares rather than repeatedly rejoining the position marker.

BOWLING

At the bowling hall, press E at the ball pickup point. Browse lanes with Left / Right, confirm with the displayed Choose control, or cancel. A lane already in use cannot be selected; wait if every lane is occupied.

At your lane, use Left / Right to aim and Up / Down to change power. A / D adjusts the camera. Left mouse throws the ball; Backspace stops bowling. Watch the power readout before releasing your shot. The game reports the pins knocked down and announces strikes.

POOL AND BILLIARDS

Bring a pool cue and approach a supported pool table. Cue-rack pickup is disabled in this configuration. Use the table's setup prompt to choose 8-Ball or Straight Pool, and agree with the other players who will break.

The table controls include Left / Right to aim, Shift for slower aim, Hit for the shot and Ball in hand for repositioning the cue ball. In ball-in-hand mode, the arrow keys move the ball. Use the displayed Back control to leave the aiming or placement view.

ARM WRESTLING

Take a position at a supported arm-wrestling table and wait for an opponent on the other side. Once the contest begins, rapidly press E as instructed to push toward a win.

The Waiting for an opponent message means the contest has not started yet. Both players need to join the same table; an occupied position is not a second independent match.

RACING

Take on established checkpoint races, chase faster finish times and compare your results with other drivers. At a named race marker, press E to view scores or R to register. Follow every checkpoint in order to record your finish time and vehicle. Browse the race directory and rankings to find your next challenge.

Create your own street races with /race: record checkpoints, save routes and host events with an entry stake and a joining countdown. Invite friends to a familiar route or build a new course across the city. The racing guide covers creating, joining and finishing both types of race.

DARTS

Approach a supported dartboard and use the board controls to join. Enter adds your name; 1 changes the darts rule, 2 changes the points rule and 3 changes difficulty. Agree on those settings before beginning a game.

The board displays controls for Rotate, Throw and Stop. The configured default inputs are right mouse for rotate, the vehicle horn control for throwing, and Backspace to leave. Backspace also clears the board when you are at its setup screen, so pay attention to whether you are setting up or playing.

GOLF

Press E at the golf start point to begin a $100 round. Approach your ball for each shot. The game selects a club for the distance, and Y cycles clubs if you want a different one.

Use A / D to rotate your shot. Hold E to build power, then release E to swing. Power wraps back to the beginning after it passes the maximum, so watch the meter instead of holding indefinitely.

Follow the ball after each shot. If it becomes inaccessible, press E when the ball-drop prompt appears and choose a valid nearby drop; a point too far from the ball or too close to the hole is refused. Return to the start point and press E to end golf.
