BANKING AND TRANSFERS
Approach a bank or supported ATM on foot and press E at the banking prompt. Deposit moves cash from your pockets into your bank balance; Withdraw does the reverse. Enter a positive amount that you can cover, then check your balance and transaction history.
For a transfer, enter the recipient and amount carefully. Banking supports transfers to another citizen and to numbered accounts. A personal transfer spends your bank balance; a business-account transfer spends the selected account balance. Confirm the intended account before sending money.
SAVINGS AND BUSINESS ACCOUNTS
Ask a banker to open a savings or business account. Stand close to the banker while they select Manage Accounts: the customer must be within five metres. Account numbers identify these balances separately from your ordinary bank balance.
Bankers can deposit and withdraw savings through the Savings Accounts list. Business accounts have their own deposit, withdrawal and transfer actions in banking. A banker can close a business account after selecting its number and confirming Yes; make sure you have settled its balance and business arrangements first.
Loans are arranged through the banker job menu for a nearby customer. Discuss the amount and repayment with the banker before they finalize it. An account, a loan and an unpaid invoice are separate records.
ISSUE AND PAY INVOICES
Open Billing and choose My Bills to see the description, amount and date of each outstanding invoice. Select a bill to pay it, or use Pay all bills to settle the displayed total. Review the total before using the combined payment action.
To send a personal invoice, stand within three metres of the intended recipient, choose Bill Someone and enter the amount. This targets the closest player. Job menus also issue invoices for professional work; use the relevant service action so the bill carries the appropriate description and account.
TRADE SHARES
Use the stocks item in your inventory to open the market. Review a company and its current price, then choose Buy or Sell. Each transaction buys or sells one share. Purchases spend your bank balance and sales return money to that balance.
The ordinary holding limit is 20 shares in total, across all companies. An investor license raises it to 50, and a gold investor license raises it to 100. Having enough money does not bypass that limit. Your purchase history and current holdings help you compare the current selling price with what you paid.
CASH, BUNDLES AND MARKED MONEY
Cash and marked money are separate balances. Money straps support physical rolls and bundles, and /unwrap converts supported bundles back. Criminal proceeds are not automatically ordinary spendable cash. Crime and stolen goods.
Marked money is dirty money tied to criminal activity. Police can seize it if they catch you carrying it. You can clean it through job earnings: carry marked money while working, and qualifying payouts automatically exchange some of it for regular cash. Businesses can also clean marked money automatically through their business activities.
The usual exchange is five marked dollars for one extra dollar of clean cash, on top of your normal earnings. For example, a $100 job payout can consume $500 in marked money and pay you $200 in cash altogether. If you carry less marked money, only the available amount is exchanged. This happens through work payments and sales such as selling your catch; simply depositing money at the bank does not clean it.
PAYCHECKS AND SEPARATE BALANCES
Job pay is deposited into your bank account when an eligible paycheck is processed. The amount depends on your current job grade. Society-funded jobs can fail to pay when the employer's fund cannot cover the salary.
Cash, bank funds, savings, business funds, marked money, casino chips and loyalty points are separate balances. An activity that requires cash does not necessarily withdraw from the bank automatically. Check the stated payment method before buying or starting a job.
