EARN YOUR FIRST PAY
The job center offers public work such as taxi driving, fishing, hunting, garbage collection, pizza deliveries and trucking. Each has its own equipment and starting point. You can also gather materials, craft goods or seek employment at a citizen-owned business. Compare jobs.
FIND TRANSPORT AND A HOME
Rent a bicycle while saving for your first vehicle. Learn the licensing and registration process before buying. Housing gives you a base for outfits, storage, furniture and production equipment. Vehicle ownership · Housing.
CHOOSE YOUR NEXT STEP
Build a business, train at the gym, go fishing, collect cards, join a gang or pursue an emergency-service career. The feature directory groups the city's activities so you can find something new without learning every system at once.
FPS MODE AND MISSING INTERACTIONS
/fps on disables some city features to reduce their workload. /fps off restores them. This can affect nearby props, some entrance and shop prompts, bins, binoculars and parkour.
If a documented interaction is missing, first check the required item, job, distance and character state. Then try /fps off and allow a moment for nearby interactions to return. Remapped keys can also differ from the defaults shown in these guides.
MISSING STREETS OR BUILDINGS
If streets or buildings fail to load, use /budget to display the texture-budget settings help. Review your graphics settings and the extended texture budget shown in that help before continuing to drive through an unloaded area.
This is separate from /fps on, which disables several world interactions to reduce work. If nearby prompts, props or parkour stop responding after enabling FPS mode, use /fps off and allow the world interactions to resume.
