FROM RAW MATERIAL TO PRODUCT
Logging, mining, gathering and oil extraction produce inputs for manufacturing. Choose what you want to make first, then collect or buy the required materials. Crafting recipes and cooking recipes list the supported products.
MATERIAL PROCESSING RECIPES
Visit the appropriate processing plant and press E at Process materials. Select the process and quantity. Carry the full input supply before starting and wait for each work cycle to finish.
| Process | Input per cycle | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Sawmill | 5 logs | 1–2 wooden boards |
| Paper | 1 wooden board | 5 paper |
| Smelting | 5 ore | Metal bar, with skill affecting output |
| Purifying | 3 metal bars | A refined metal such as copper, iron, steel, silver or gold |
| Brass | 1 copper bar | 1–3 brass bars |
| Glass | 5 stone | 1–20 glass |
| Gas | 2 oil | 1 gas; possible kevlar |
| Plastic | 5 oil | 3–7 plastic; possible kevlar |
| Bottled water | 1 empty bottle | 1 water |
Purifying does not let you guarantee a particular precious metal on every cycle. Plan for variable yields and retain useful by-products. Finished materials can go into crafting recipes or be sold to other players.
PLACE AND MOVE A WORKSTATION
Carry a crafting table, stove or weapons table item. Use it on a property where you have the required access, then place the station with enough space to stand beside it. The item becomes a placed workstation, so it is no longer loose in your inventory.
To pack one away, stand beside it and use /pickuptable. Property permissions are checked before removal. A successful pickup returns the matching table or stove item. Keep the working side clear: the crafting animation moves your character into position beside the station.
CRAFT AN ITEM OR COOK A MEAL
Use the right workstation: a crafting bench handles general items, a stove handles food recipes, and a weapons bench handles weapon recipes. A recipe from the wrong category will not start at that station. The current configuration does not require learning recipes before using them.
Open the station with E, arrange the recipe ingredients, and choose the quantity. Check the crafting library or cooking library for the ingredient layout. If an ingredient appears in more than one recipe slot, you need that many units for every item in the batch.
Stay within three metres of the station until the progress bar finishes. Walking away cancels that attempt. Craft time scales with batch quantity.
A successful craft consumes the ingredients and adds the recipe output. Higher crafting-and-cooking skill can award an extra item, and successful crafts have a chance to increase that shared skill. Crafting is about preparation, not luck: if a recipe fails, check that you have enough of every ingredient.
SUPPLY OTHER PLAYERS
Production supports restaurants, shops, mechanics and other businesses. Agree on quantities with your customer, keep material stocks organized and use invoices for transactions that need a bill. Business ownership.
PRODUCE ALCOHOL
Bring glass bottles and one of the supported ingredients to alcohol processing, then choose Produce and a quantity. One cycle produces one alcohol.
A cycle uses one glass bottle plus five apples, five oranges, three grapes or four barley. These are alternatives selected by the available ingredients, not four ingredients you must combine. Carry the ingredient you intend to process so the batch uses the supply you planned.
