PREPARE FOR A HUNT
Arrange a gun license with police before obtaining your hunting weapon. Bring the weapon, suitable ammunition and a knife, and leave inventory space for meat and hides. Hunting is available around the map rather than restricted to a single instanced mission.
After taking down an eligible animal, approach the body and use E to skin it. Finish the interaction before collecting another animal. Take supported products to Butchery & Stockyard, or keep useful ingredients for cooking.
HUNT AND SKIN ANIMALS
The job-center hunting instructions call for a weapon and a knife. Obtain the appropriate gun license through police before setting out. You can hunt animals around the map rather than completing a fixed delivery route.
Approach a downed animal and use E to skin it with your knife. Wait for the interaction to finish, then check your inventory for animal products. Take those products to the butchery buyer, or keep useful meat for cooking.
Do not mistake another player's companion for wildlife. Choose a clear line of fire and keep enough carrying space for the products you intend to collect.
SELL MEAT, HIDES AND ANIMAL PRODUCTS
Take your animal products to Butchery & Stockyard in the industrial area. Stand at the selling marker, press E, choose an item and adjust its quantity. The menu only lists supported products that you actually carry.
Meat and hides have separate prices. The buyer also accepts products such as feathers, eggs and milk. Check the displayed unit price before choosing how much to sell; you may want to keep meat or other ingredients for cooking and crafting.
LIVING WITH ANIMALS
Wildlife is part of the open world, while owned pets and companions have a separate system for care and commands. Pets and companions.
