BICYCLE RENTALS AND THE CABLE CAR

At a bicycle rental stand, press E to rent a bike for $20. Return it using the stand's return interaction. The rental checks whether you already have a bike out and whether one is available, so return your current rental before trying to take another.

The mountain cable car runs between its stations. Stand beside the cabin and press E at the Enter the cablecar prompt. Use E at the exit prompt when you want to leave. Wait for the cabin and its interaction rather than trying to enter it like an ordinary car.

For a road journey without driving, contact a taxi through the service options on your phone. A taxi driver can use the fare meter and issue the trip invoice.

BOATS, ANCHORS AND SURFBOARDS

While in the driver seat of a boat, press Left Ctrl and Left Shift together to toggle the anchor. The Anchor indicator turns green while it is set. Release it before trying to travel; the anchor holds your horizontal position while allowing the boat to move with the water.

For fishing, anchor first, leave the seat and stand on a dry deck before using the rod.

Use a surfboard item to place a board, then enter it to ride. While on the board, /pickupsurfboard packs it back into an inventory item. This pickup command checks the board you occupy, so standing beside it is not enough.

FLIGHT SCHOOL

Visit flight school at Sandy Shores airfield and take the $100 theory test. After passing, choose the practical category you want: plane $10,000, helicopter $15,000, seaplane $15,000 or seahelicopter $20,000.

Each practical test supplies its aircraft and a checkpoint route. Follow the takeoff, flight and landing instructions for that category. Aircraft damage counts as a mistake; this school has a much stricter error allowance than the road DMV. Complete the test and wait for the pass notification before treating yourself as licensed.

AIRCRAFT INSTRUMENTS AND AUTOPILOT

Aircraft have flight instruments and ground-proximity warnings. Monitor height, speed and warnings during takeoff and landing; terrain and sink-rate warnings are reasons to check your flight path.

Set a map waypoint before using the default F10 autopilot control. Engage it only once you have reached the required cruise altitude and raised the landing gear. Damaged sensors can prevent engagement. Use the autopilot control again to disengage and resume manual flight.

Supported approach situations also offer an automatic glideslope mode. Follow the on-screen mode and eligibility messages: autopilot is not a guarantee that every waypoint is a safe landing site.

FLATBEDS, TRAILERS AND VEHICLE LOADING

Supported flatbeds expose controls beside the bed: E lowers, raises or moves the bed or ramp according to its current state. G handles the hook interaction. Walk to the relevant part of the truck until its prompt appears, attach the vehicle, then finish loading before raising the bed.

Vehicle carriers use their attachment controls to secure or release a vehicle. Boat trailers have a separate E attach / release interaction. These are model-specific systems; an ordinary trailer may not offer the same controls.

Some working trailers have a G equipment menu with doors, ramps, an awning, trolley, vice, welder or jack. Other supported models offer displays, speakers or a fridge. Open the trailer's own menu to see its equipment and put it away before moving.

MAKE TRANSPORT YOUR JOB

Taxi work, trucking, vehicle recovery and emergency aviation all build on these transport systems. Jobs · Mechanic and towing work.

HELICOPTER CAMERA AND RAPPELLING

In a supported helicopter, E toggles the camera, right mouse cycles vision, Space locks onto a vehicle, and Q toggles vehicle information. Use the camera controls to observe while the pilot keeps the aircraft stable.

G toggles the spotlight. Up / Down changes its brightness; Caps Lock and Left Shift adjust its radius. X attempts rappelling from a supported passenger seat. If the seat cannot rappel, change seats before trying again.

The Skylift has a separate magnet interaction. Move into position above the vehicle and press E when the magnet prompt appears to attach or release the load. Allow clearance for the suspended vehicle.

WORKING ELEVATORS

At a supported elevator landing, press E to call the cabin. Wait for it and the doors before entering. Inside, E sends the cabin up or down as shown by the prompt.

The call button and the control inside the cabin do different jobs. If the elevator is moving or servicing another call, wait for the current trip to finish.

BUILDING ENTRANCES AND NAVIGATION

Some buildings use an E entrance prompt to move you between the outside and an interior or another floor. Approach the actual doorway and follow the prompt; certain entrances are restricted by job.

Use the compass item for its navigation display when you need a heading. Building entrances, working elevators and a map waypoint solve different navigation tasks. If an entrance prompt is missing in FPS mode, turn that mode off and approach again.
