OPEN YOUR PHONE
Carry a phone item and press F1 or use /phone. The command uses the same inventory check and is useful if another feature has claimed F1. If you receive the no-phone message, get a handset first; registering a number alone does not supply one.
Use City Hall for SIM cards and number registration. Set up your contacts with names and numbers so that you can call or message them directly. Close the phone before using other interfaces that need the mouse.
CALLS, MESSAGES AND PHONE APPS
Use Contacts to save a person's number, then call or message them from the saved entry. For a new number, enter it carefully before sending. Your SIM and registered number identify the phone line; changing the handset is different from changing that line.
Twitter, Instagram and Reddit provide their own account and posting screens. Yellow Pages is for listings, News for city reporting, and Dark Chat for its separate chat interface. Open the intended app before publishing so a public listing does not go to the wrong audience.
Billing displays invoices, while Market and Delivery Service have their own order screens. Review the item, quantity, price and destination before confirming an order. The phone also includes 2048 and Tetris for casual play.
Use the phone's settings to adjust its appearance and available preferences. Close the current app or return to the home screen before starting another action; image and media functions depend on the supplied link being reachable.
RADIO CHANNELS AND VOICE
Use your radio item to open the radio interface, enter a channel and join it. Everyone in a group must tune to the same number. Click the knob on the radio interface to close it. Leave the channel through the radio when finished; dropping the radio disconnects you.
Channels 1–10 are restricted. Police, EMS and FIB have access to the restricted range; mechanics have access to channel 5. Ordinary public channels are above 10. Being refused by an encrypted channel is a job restriction, not a broken radio.
Radio traffic is separate from nearby voice and phone calls. Use the configured voice and radio push-to-talk controls from the controls reference, and check that you have actually joined a channel before transmitting.
SEND A SERVICE REQUEST FROM THE PHONE
Choose a service contact or its request action, enter a useful description and submit it. The request includes your current coordinates. Include the kind of help needed, the number of people affected and any landmark responders should use.
A service request and an ordinary voice call are different actions. Wait for a reply and update the service if you move. You can also use the 911, 811 and 711 report commands.
VEHICLE MUSIC
The vehicle radio is a separate entertainment system from your handheld communications radio. Use /radio for its interface. Music, televisions and recording.
